Product Details

Looking for a way for your students to have fun being creative while learning about the lives of four famous scientists? This science sub plan has your students make a fun Social Media "Nerdbook" account for one of the following scientists: Marie Curie, Charles Darwin, Gregor Mendel, or Isaac Newton.

This set comes with a fill-in "Nerdbook" profile, a rubric, and 4 one page biographies for each scientist. The biographies focus on their accomplishments and backgrounds and is designed to take one class period (approximately 50 minutes to 60 minutes).

Students really seem to remember the scientists lives after filling out these profiles which include their profile and cover photos, friends, workplace, birthplace, status update, and even a section dedicated to sponsored ads where they come up with something relevant that you might find on one of the scientists' pages. This is truly a lot of fun of the students, but rest assured, they will be learning when you are out!

This sub plan is a useful tool to help encourage scientific literacy in reading, graphing, and making connections to the scientific world.
